Expanded Nights

Lubricated by darkness,
Hot pink goes giggling at midnight,
Riding echoes giddy, swirling, drunken,
Buoyed up by laughter.
Drunk with the moon, intoxicated
By darkness,
Shadows expand, liberated
From the ordeal of definition,
From the tyranny of ninety degrees.
The world expands, growing
Huge beyond orbits,
And she goes laughing,
Upbeat, limitless,
Confident on the tightrope's highway.
